These simplified radio guides cover the local AM and FM radio stations you値l
discover as a vacation or holiday traveller, or as a business or other short stay
visitor to the islands of the North and South Pacific.
On many of these local radio stations you値l find news bulletins and weather
forecasts and beach reports, news about local events such as market days, fairs
and holidays, church services, airport, port and flight information, and from
advertising you値l learn of good bars and restaurants and places to go shopping
for beach clothes, souvenirs and vacation activities.
Travellers Notes
Included in each of these guides is localized personal safety and survival
information relevant to the specific part of the Pacific and even the island you池e
visiting.
This information comes under these headings in each radio guide:
- Take a transistor radio with AM/FM/Shortwave bands
- Do NOT rely on FM radio coverage from your mobile phone
- Tropical Cyclones [also called Typhoons or Hurricanes]
- Civil Unrest
